Brighton’s Next Hot Model – The Final Evening at Old Market by Igor Srzic Cartledge Personal Shopper & Stylist.

The Grand Final of Brighton’s Next Hot Model took place, rather appropriately on the hottest day of the year (May 25th), and What’s Happening’s own style guru Igor Srzic- Cartledge was there, on the panel to select the winners from the 24 finalists. Judging along side Igor, were model Sophie Anderton, Hollywood actor winston Ellis, top model scout & booker, John Bruce, Mark Wooley from Electric Hairdressing and the founder of Brighton’s Next Hot Model – Fatosh Kalan.

Miss Stephanie Starlet was the “hostess with the mostest” putting the catwalk wannabes through their paces. The 12 guys were styled by Igor in sumptuous, embroidered waistcoats from his new Dandylion style collection (available at Altjeringa in Palmeira square), and menswear from Kear & Ku, while the girls worked the runway in glamorous full length evening dresses from Walk in Wardrobe ( Western Road) and Nikini swimwear with hair and make up by Electric Hairdressing and Shu Uemura.

The winners were Nathalie Marsollier and Ryan Bull, but with a typically Brightonian twist , runner up in the women’s final was Angkookrat Rawangnam – better known as “Toon” whose stunning glamour was unhampered by the possession of a Y chromosome. Ryan and Nathalie are off to Dubai for a photo-shoot that will hopefully launch their modelling careers, and together with the 4 runners up get with automatic entry into the Sussex Fashion Model Awards 2012.
